The Stables
Our horses are housed in spacious American barn-style stables, designed to provide a safe, comfortable, and sociable environment. Every stable is fitted with rubber matting and automatic water drinkers, helping to promote horse welfare while making daily care more efficient. Bright, well-ventilated, and maintained to a high standard, our barns offer excellent year-round accommodation for horses of all types.
Riding
From both Cow Myers and Birkby Nab, riders enjoy direct access to over 20 miles of private rideways and public bridleways, all without the need to ride on roads. Explore a network of routes through farmland, woodland and open countryside, with detailed maps provided to help you make the most of the extensive off-road hacking available from the yard.
Indoor & Outdoor Arenas
Our arenas are available to book for exercising your horse, private schooling, or riding lessons. The indoor arena at Cow Myers provides an all-weather riding space throughout the year, while the outdoor arena at Birkby Nab offers a spacious setting for training and lessons during the warmer months.
Cross Country Course
Our cross-country course, located between Cow Myers and Birkby Nab, is free for all livery customers to use once a signed disclaimer form has been completed. Featuring a wide variety of fences designed to build confidence for both horse and rider, the course offers an enjoyable environment for training and schooling. It is also available to hire for clinics, events, and private schooling sessions by arrangement with Abbie. We recommend coming to see the course in person to fully appreciate everything it has to offer.
Show Jumping Field
Located alongside the cross-country course, our summer show jumping field offers a selection of traditional show jumps suitable for a range of horses and riders. It's the perfect place to build confidence, practice at home, or prepare for competition in a relaxed countryside setting.
Grazing
We offer a range of well-maintained grazing options, including both individual and shared paddocks to suit the needs of different horses. With carefully managed pasture and flexible turnout arrangements, we aim to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for your horse throughout the year.
Horse Walker
Our on-site horse walker provides a safe and convenient way to keep your horse fit, exercised, and moving regularly. Ideal for maintaining fitness, aiding rehabilitation, or supplementing ridden work, it is available for use by all livery customers.
Lessons
Private and group lessons can be arranged at either Cow Myers or Birkby Nab using your preferred instructor and our excellent facilities. Alternatively, riders can take advantage of training opportunities and organised lessons through Brimham Riding Club.
